Delhi NCR Tech Scene Attracts Fresh Capital, Events This July

Delhi has emerged as India’s top startup city in 2026, posting a score of 96.5 and capturing 40 percent of the country’s total startup funding. The shift places the capital region ahead of Bengaluru and rests on concrete numbers released this year.

Funding and company growth

The Delhi NCR tech ecosystem raised 1.7 billion dollars across 110 rounds during the first quarter of 2026. Gurugram accounted for 52 percent of that capital, Noida followed with 27 percent, and Delhi proper contributed 20 percent. Deep-tech funding inside the same region rose 37 percent, moving activity toward sovereign-stack and industrial-identity projects and away from earlier emphasis on food delivery and fintech. Startup counts in Delhi itself climbed 381 percent between 2019 and 2024, rising from 3,293 to 15,867 firms, with enterprise applications and retail leading new formations.

These figures matter now because the region has become the default place where B2B SaaS tools are sold to public-sector units and government departments. That government-facing role gives founders steady demand that pure consumer plays elsewhere often lack.

Events on the calendar

Local organisers have scheduled several gatherings for the rest of July. The Grafana Delhi July 2026 Meetup and a Developer Hacknight focused on AI agents both fall on 18 July. The OpenSearch User Group Delhi meets on 25 July. CyberCon, described as India’s biggest national tech conference, is set for the same day at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel Delhi. TiE Delhi-NCR continues its quarterly Pitch & Partner sessions, which this cycle spotlight early-stage companies in deep tech, D2C, fintech, healthtech, Web3 and EV. The Delhi government has also begun rolling out the Delhi Startup Yuva Festival aimed at turning student ideas into registered ventures.

Most of these events cluster in Gurugram’s Cyber City and Sector 29 corridor, while Noida remains anchored in edtech and IT services. Platforms such as Eventbrite, Meetup and eChai.ventures list the sessions, and Hidden Events tracks additional smaller meetups that do not always appear on main listings.
